Stephen Albanese

Vice President & Executive Director, AH GPO

Steve provides oversight and leadership to AllSpire Health Group Purchasing Organization. He is responsible for the General Management/Operations of Regional Group Purchasing services with a focus on maximizing value for members, establishing, and maintaining strategic business relationships, identifying innovative supply chain and GPO trends as well as attainment of the highest level of quality outcomes.

Steve came to AllSpire in 2020 with over 40 years of Supply Chain Management experience in the healthcare sector. He was responsible for overseeing the Supply Chain for Atlantic Health System where his responsibilities included Strategic Sourcing, Receiving, Distribution, Printing and Mail Services including managing over $1B in annual spend. Steve was responsible for building and overseeing one of the first and largest highly automated hospital owned central distribution centers.

Paul Tirjan

Paul J. Tirjan, MBA

President, AHP | CEO, AH GPO

Paul provides visionary leadership to AllSpire Health Partners, the think tank and innovation incubator owned by progressive not-for-profit health system members dedicated to enhancing quality, cost, access and experience of care across a $15 billion enterprise.

Paul also serves as Chief Executive Officer of the AllSpire Health Group Purchasing Organization, which sources and negotiates prices for goods and services worth $2 billion per year on behalf of member health systems.

Tirjan came to AllSpire with 25 years of healthcare, medical technology and life science entrepreneurial and executive leadership experience spanning concept stage start-ups, venture backed start-ups, venture capital investment, small public companies and divisions of Fortune 500 companies. Immediately prior to AllSpire, Paul led 12 ambulatory care business lines for Universal Health Services (NYSE:UHS). Among them, he started two from concept: 1- a chain of locally branded free-standing Emergency Departments and 2- a retail pharmacy chain called CentRx.

Tirjan earned an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania as well as a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.

Janice E. Nevin, M.D., MPH

President & CEO, ChristianaCare

Janice E. Nevin, M.D., MPH, has served as president and CEO of ChristianaCare since 2014, leading a transformation from a health care system to a system that truly impacts health. She is nationally recognized as a pioneer and thought leader in value-based care and population health, and for her assertion that truly great health care is built on the values of love and excellence. Modern Healthcare selected Dr. Nevin as one of its 50 Most Influential Clinical Executives in both 2020 and 2021 and to it Top 25 Women Leaders list in 2019 and 2022. Among many organizations in which she is involved, Dr. Nevin serves on the board of trustees of the American Hospital Association and is secretary of the board of directors of America’s Essential Hospitals. Dr. Nevin graduated from Harvard University and earned her medical degree with honors from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University.

Brian A. Gragnolati

President & CEO, Atlantic Health System

Brian A. Gragnolati is president and CEO of Atlantic Health System, based in Morristown, New Jersey and recently served as Chair, Board of Trustees of the American Hospital Association. Prior to joining Atlantic Health System in May 2015, Gragnolati served as Senior Vice President, Community Division of Johns Hopkins Medicine (JHM). He was operationally responsible for three owned/two affiliated hospitals, eight ambulatory and surgery center sites and community physician integration. He was successful in further developing the JHM Integrated Delivery and Financing System by expanding owned insurance product offerings, growing the geographic footprint and developing new models of clinical and financial integration.

Sue Perrotty

President & CEO, Tower Health

Sue Perrotty currently serves as the President and CEO of Tower Health. Sue retired from banking in 2002 after a 27-year career in the industry, most recently as executive vice president and head of global operations for First Union Corp., as a member of the Office of the Chairman in Charlotte, N.C. Following retirement from banking, Sue served as Chief of Staff to First Lady of Pennsylvania Judge Marjorie Rendell from 2003 through 2007. Sue is the CEO and Owner of BAC Services and currently serves as an independent consultant to several small businesses and entrepreneurs in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey area. She also serves on several Boards for American Realty Capital related entities. She has received numerous awards for community leadership and professional accomplishments including the Athena Award, Pa 50 Best Women in Business, the Franciscan Award from Alvernia University, the Albright College Distinguished Alumni Award, the Women of Distinction award from the March of Dimes, Take the Lead Award from the Girl Scouts, and the 2006 Champion of Youth Award from Olivet Boys & Girls Club. In 2009 she was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Law Degree from Albright College.

Michael P. Forese, MBA

Senior Vice President, Finance and Operations, AHP & AH GPO

Mike joined AllSpire Health Partners in 2017 as the Sr. Vice President of Finance and Operations. He serves a key role for both AllSpire Health Partners and AllSpire Health Group Purchasing Organization in the development of business strategy, leading collaborative economic initiatives and building the financial and operational infrastructure. Mike works closely with the President in the evaluation and execution of collaborative initiatives including operational execution, business and financial model development, economic justification and drafting of business plans.

Mike has over 30 years’ healthcare experience in start-ups, turnarounds and multi-billion dollar public companies and has extensive C Suite experience. Additionally, Mike was a member of the management team that took CardioNet (NASDAQ: BEAT) public in 2008 and spent three years in Brussels Belgium for Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI), a multibillion chemical and pharmaceutical company as Controller, International Operations. Mike holds an MBA from Drexel University and a BS in Accounting from Villanova University.

Roxanna Gapstur, PhD, RN

President & CEO, WellSpan Health | Chair, AHP Board of Managers

In January 2019, Roxanna Gapstur assumed the role of President and CEO of WellSpan Health, based in York, Pennsylvania. She has over 25 years of healthcare leadership experience working in group practice, academic, and integrated health care systems which included health plan operations. Prior to her appointment at WellSpan, Dr. Gapstur was a senior vice president and president within the HealthPartners system in Bloomington, Minnesota. Dr. Gapstur has extensive experience in strategic planning, business development and operational leadership in both ambulatory and hospital settings. She has served in multiple executive roles including chief operating officer, chief nursing officer and as a senior executive accountable for population health.

Brian A. Nester, DO, MBA, FACOEP

President & CEO, Lehigh Valley Health Network

Brian Nester, DO, became president and CEO of Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), based in Allentown, Pennsylvania on July 1, 2014. LVHN is a comprehensive, integrated health network that includes three full-service licensed hospitals with six campuses, a children’s hospital, an employed physician group with nearly 2,000 members, and 44 outpatient health centers. LVHN is its region’s largest employer, with more than 17,600 employees. Dr. Nester had been the chief strategy officer (CSO) at LVHN since 2011. In that role he aligned LVHN’s business development assets with evolving population health management competencies and insurance sophistication in the creation of new partnerships and structures that will facilitate LVHN’s transformation into an accountable care organization.

Robert C. Garrett, FACHE

CEO, Hackensack Meridian Health Network

Robert C. Garrett, a nationally-renowned healthcare leader and sought-after industry expert, is the CEO of Hackensack Meridian Health Network, one of the largest, most comprehensive health networks based in Edison, New Jersey. Mr. Garrett began his time with Hackensack University Medical Center in 1981 as a resident and served as president and CEO of the Hackensack University Health Network from November 2009 through July 2016, at which time he assumed the position of co-CEO of  Hackensack Meridian Health. Mr. Garrett became the Hackensack Meridian Health system CEO effective January 2019. In the face of healthcare reform, Mr. Garrett optimally positioned HackensackUHN and HackensackUMC for success through a series of acquisitions, mergers, partnerships and affiliations.

Rebecca Holt, MBA, RN

Vice President, Clinical Resource Management, AH GPO

Rebecca (Becka) Holt, MBA, RN serves as the Vice President of Clinical Resource Management. In her role at AH GPO, Becka provides leadership and direction for standardizing acquisition of purchased products and supporting their appropriate utilization to support members’ high-value, high-quality patient outcomes. Becka’s clinical career began as a cardiac critical care nurse, advancing to cardiovascular service line responsibility and ultimately health system supply chain operations. She most recently served as the Senior Director, Cardiovascular Service line for HealthTrust Purchasing Group in Brentwood, TN. Becka received her associates in nursing from Blue State College, a BBA in Business from King’s College and an MBA from King University.
